The HOTSHOTS
In December 2011 we held two round of auditions for the new Street Cheer Dance Troupe in conjunction with Aldershot Town FC. The first one was held at our class venue, Connaught Leisure Centre and the second one was held at the football club itself. The panel consisted of Albany Principal and troupe founder Emma Weir, Head Coach Tashi Fraser and Associate Director of The Shots, Richard Petty.

The troupe made their debut at the United Rushmoor 'Best of Both' event on 4th February and will be performing at other local events during the springtime before starting regularly at the Shots' matches next season.
The name HOTSHOTS was voted the most popular name by Aldershot fans in a competition which attracted hundreds of entries and the team have been rehearsing since January each Monday at the club grounds. The troupe will perform at home games booth pre-match and at half time from next season and traditional fans needn't worry - they will NOT be doing any American-style cheering and chanting, just dance entertainment. | ![]() |
