 | Albany Dance Academy runs classes on Friday evenings at Connaught Leisure Centre in Aldershot and we have been there in various forms since 1996. Our instructors are IDTA qualified and pupils are given the option to take syllabus exams at least twice a year. We also perform in local shows, charity events and in the past have also danced in national showcases at professional venues such as the Royal Albert Hall (left), Sadler's Wells, The Shaftesbury Theatre, Her Majesty's Theatre, The Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Birmingham NEC Arena and the London Palladium. Our dancers have been featured on children's television programmes Boogie Beebies, My Life As A Popat and Friday Download. The HOTSHOTS - Aldershot Town Cheer Dance Troupe
In late 2011 Albany Dance Academy worked with Aldershot Town FC to set up a dance troupe for home games and they are now coming together and starting to make appearances at local events. They performed at the United Rushmoor 'Best of Both' event on 4th February, Keogh Barracks on 1st March and Farnborough 6th Form on 30th March. They are auditioning for more dancers on 15th April at the EBB Stadium.

Perform at Her Majesty's Theatre, London - 25th November 2012
Albany pupils are invited to take part in a national showcase of dance at this prestigious venue, famous for being the home of 'Phantom of the Opera'. Letters are being given out in class this week about how to take part in this exciting show and allow parents the chance to see their children perform on one of London's most famous stages. If you are not yet an Albany member, why not have a look at our programme and come along this Friday (or any Friday) to find out more about us? We are still open in half term too.
Our Programme
Until recently we focussed purely on classes for children and younger teenagers and we are proud to offer a huge range of subjects under one roof for under 18's however from 2012 we will also be offering options for older teenagers and adults. Friday afternoons / evenings from 6th Jan:
4.30-5.15pm: Show Dance Troupe - NEW (from 13th Jan)
5.30-6.00pm: Rosettes (for age 3-6) OR Latin, ballroom and Salsa (for age 7-teens)
6.10-6.40pm: Street Dance (7-teens) OR Mini Team (5-9)
6.40-7.10pm: Rock & Roll OR Street Cheer (both 7-teens)
7.15-7.45pm: Freestyle (7-teens) OR NEW Street Dance - Boys' style! Ask for details.
